Last night, I spoke at our church's Family Lent Night. It was a great night of crafts, games and discussing the meaning of Lent. Yesterday was Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the 40 day period of Lent. Lent is a time to prepare our hearts for celebrating the resurrection of our Savior on Easter morning. The families who attended last night received a booklet I wrote titled, "Let's Celebrate Our Savior." It contains 12 devotions and 5 family activities for the season of lent. Starting this Friday I will be posting a weekly family devotion for the season of Lent. I hope these devotions will be a tool for you to have some great family time together while drawing closer to the Lord this Easter season. Here are some pictures from last night. Enjoy.

Fun!
I'm interested in your booklet...can you share details, or are they available for purchase??
I'm always on the lookout for new resources to teach our children about the different liturgical seasons.
i am looking forward to fridays devotion as landon loved the snowflake one. Did you have any booklets left over I would love to show them to our kids church director.
So fun to have lunch with you today! Tomorrow's an at-home day and I'm excited to pull out the Lent kits you gave me for the girls. Thanks so much!
our church doesn't do anything for lent... at all. I think it's a shame.
I was planning to go with the kids to an ash wednesday service but i got sick. Bummer. Still, I'm trying to get my heart focused on the season. Looking forward to the devotion ideas!
